Overview

We are seeking a qualified Traffic Engineering Manager with between 12 to 15 years’ experience to join our Traffic Engineering and Strategic Advisory Business Unit in the Middle East. The candidate must be a degree-qualified professional with a minimum of 12 to 15 years of transport planning and traffic engineering experience in the Middle East.

Your role

  • Lead and manage traffic engineering projects from planning through execution.
  • Design, analyze, and optimize traffic control systems, including signals, signage, and road layouts. Conduct traffic studies, simulations, and data analysis to improve traffic efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including urban planning, construction, and public agencies. Develop and implement traffic management strategies and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national traffic regulations and standards. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Stay updated with advancements in smart traffic systems and transportation technologies

About you

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field. 12- 15 Years years of experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning.
  • Proven experience managing teams and large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic modeling tools (e.g.Aimsun, VISSIM, Synchro, or similar). Familiarity with traffic regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with smart mobility solutions and ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems). Exposure to sustainable transportation initiatives.
