Job Description Summary-
Responsible for working on single large scale, multiple projects or a work stream of projects. The Business Analysis function plays a key role during the onset of a project or program by helping define scope and create requirements working closely with business partners to understand and translate needs. This role serves as a contact for IT during the design, development, and testing phase. Functional expertise is required.
SUMMARY-
Perform Business Analysis to support delivery of products within the Cash Services Change Portfolio, producing clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria that enable build, test and implementation.
Partner with the Product Owner to complete upfront analysis (process flows, requirements and assumptions) to inform operating model and application design, and support backlog management by drafting features, user stories and maintaining SDLC discipline.
Elicit and document current and target state through stakeholder interviews and document review; synthesise findings into business rules, requirements and recommendations supported by data, metrics and evidence.
MAJOR DUTIES-
- Work with the Scrum team to analyse change, produce requirements, and draft user stories while maintaining SDLC discipline.
- Support the Product Owner, solution architects, testers and developers to ensure the outcome meets agreed success criteria.
- Elaborate high-level requirements and designs from operations, Product Owner and business architects into detail sufficient for developers to build a complete solution.
- Analyse data to define and validate new business rules.
- Define acceptance criteria for each user story in Given/When/Then format to demonstrate the delivered change meets the business need.
- Refine user stories with the Scrum team to ensure shared understanding of business need, scope and detailed requirements.
- Answer questions from developers and testers throughout the story lifecycle.
- Review test results against acceptance criteria and support defect triage and resolution.
- Produce functional specifications or user guides as needed so end users can adopt new or enhanced functionality.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-up, backlog refinement, planning and retrospectives).
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Market Knowledge of Cash Products, Global Payments and Industry Change, including Cash and liquidity management, credit and balance sheet finance reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of current cash architecture and associated business processes.
- Previous experience working large scale, complex change initiatives
- Experience with working with Agile delivery methods, specifically Scaled Agile.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills evidenced by defining business rules, acceptance criteria and decision-ready analysis.
- Strong communication skills: written and verbal.
- Exposure and understanding of Project & Product Change methodologies
- Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to actively collaborate and work with extended team outside of the Business unit
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI (or equivalent reporting tools).
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and traceability across requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and test evidence.
- Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and foster excellent working relationships with internal and external partners
- Work well with people in the same department, both locally and globally
EXPERIENCE:
- For internal applications - 24 months as Consultant
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a consulting or advisory role delivering change in banking/payments.
- 5–10 years’ hands-on Business Analyst experience in payments/banking across Agile and Waterfall delivery.
- Proven delivery of 2–3 end-to-end change initiatives in the banking/financial services domain within the last few years.
- SME-level knowledge of FIN and ISO 20022 messaging across SWIFT CBPR+, CHAPS, RITS and TARGET2 payment networks, plus cash and liquidity management and related reporting.
- Experience supporting the creation of a function-led target operating model.
- Up-to-date with standard delivery tools and processes (Jira, Azure DevOps and MS Office).
- Processing and manipulation of data to achieve business objectives
- Basic SQL skills
- (Nice to have) Custody Product knowledge,
