About the role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing and documenting control system testing

  • Reviewing reports and test results

  • Designing and developing components

  • Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained

  • Maintaining quality and safety standards

  • Troubleshooting issues with controls systems

  • Performing and maintaining an inventory of all control systems

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field

  • PLC Programming

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated analytical skills

  • Excellent multitasking skills

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least 3 years of related experience

  • PLC Engineer Experience

  • Ladder Logic Programming

  • Allen Bradly or Siemens Design Experience

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:

  • Essential functions include the ability to speak, hear and understand speech, alertness, walk > 0.5 miles, climb a ladder and mental sharpness.

Brookhaven Laboratory is committed to providing fair, equitable and competitive compensation. This is a multi-level role and the full salary range for this position is $80,600.00 - $120,000.00 / year. You will be placed at the level and salary commensurate with your experience.  Salary offers will be commensurate with the final candidate’s qualification, education and experience and considered with the internal peer group.
