About the role
The Gracent Scholarship Program supports our clinician’s educational and professional aspirations by providing financial assistance ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 per academic year for accredited academic programs, courses, and certifications. Through this program, we aim to foster professional development, enhance skills, and promote lifelong learning among our team members.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a full-time employee of Gracent with a minimum of one year of continuous service prior to applying,
- Hold a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (documentation proving GPA is required),
- Be in good standing in your current role including having performance review ratings on average of 3.0 or higher,
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited master's or PhD degree program, related to obtaining licensure as a BCBA, OT, PT, SLP, NP, LCPC, or LCSW.
- Be able to provide at least 2 professional and 2 educational references.
Application Process
- Complete this Gracent Scholarship Program Application Form
- Attach the following documents to your application:
- Current resume
- Personal statement 500 words minimum to 750 words maximum) outlining your educational goals, how they align with your career objectives, and how receiving the scholarship will benefit you professionally.
- Letters of Recommendation: Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or community leaders and two internal recommendations who can attest to your qualifications, character, performance, etc.
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance into an accredited educational program, course, or certification.
- Proof of current GPA.
- Estimated cost breakdown of educational expenses.
The Scholarship Review Team will review applications and notify the applicants once the decision is made.
Application Submission and Decision Dates
- Submission Date(s): July 1st and December 1st of each year, but may be altered for the first year of the program.
- Decision Date(s): August 1st and January 1st of each year, but may be altered for the first year of the program.
Scholarship Award
- Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, demonstrated need, and alignment with company goals.
- Each year the company will determine the number of applicants who will be awarded between $1,000 and $2,500.00 each.
- Scholarship applicants will be notified by the notification date listed above whether their application has been approved to receive a scholarship award and the amount they will receive.
- Approved award will be distributed directly to the school listed on the application for the upcoming school semester.
Terms and Conditions
- Scholarship funds are intended to cover tuition-related fees.
- Recipients are required to maintain satisfactory academic progress and provide proof of enrollment or completion of the educational program.
- Employees who voluntarily leave Gracent within one year of receiving the scholarship award will be required to repay a portion (or full amount) of the award.
- <6 months of employment after receiving award – Employee will be required to pay back the full scholarship award.
- >6 months of employment after receiving award – Employee will be required to pay back a prorated scholarship award.
- 1+ year of employment after receiving award – Employee will not be required to repay the award.
- Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to their professional development and align their educational goals with their current role or future career aspirations.
- Preference may be given to applicants who have not previously received funding through the scholarship program.
