Set within the beautiful surroundings of Pulitzer Amsterdam, Jansz. is our elegant yet approachable restaurant where elevated casual dining meets the charm of a true Amsterdam canal house. With around 85 covers, a semi private dining area, and intimate private dining spaces, no two days are ever the same.

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager who can lead with confidence, inspire a strong team, and make sure every service delivers the high standards, warmth, and attention to detail Jansz. is known for.
 

A day in the life

As Restaurant Manager, you are the driving force behind the daily operation of Jansz. You lead the team on the floor, support service where it matters most, and keep a close eye on both the guest experience and the business performance.

You work closely with the kitchen and bar teams, manage reservations and staffing, handle guest feedback with confidence, and make sure every shift runs smoothly. At the same time, you coach your team, maintain high standards, and help create an atmosphere where both guests and colleagues feel genuinely looked after.
 

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and motivate the restaurant team
• Oversee the day to day operation of Jansz.
• Ensure a warm, polished, and memorable guest experience
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and team performance
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar to deliver seamless service
• Monitor reservations, service flow, and special requests
• Support cost control, labour planning, and financial performance
• Maintain high standards in health, safety, hygiene, and presentation
• Handle guest feedback and operational challenges with confidence

• Previous experience in a restaurant management role
• A strong leader who leads from the floor and by example
• Excellent communication and people skills
• A natural host with a sharp eye for detail
• Strong operational and commercial awareness
• Calm, hands on, and solutions focused
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and public holidays
