About the opportunity: 

This role reports to the Director of Inpatient Clinical Services and will serve as a behavioral health clinician providing direct clinical services across adolescent and adult populations at the Precourt Healing Center, an acute inpatient psychiatric facility. Services will include individual and family-based therapy. This position may also support group-based therapeutic interventions, milieu work, didactic intervention, and care coordination services as needed. This position will include an on-call expectation.

 
What you will do:
  1. Under the supervision of the Director of Inpatient Clinical Services, the Inpatient Behavioral Health Provider provides high-level, intensive inpatient behavioral health services, with a specialty emphasis on acute or high-risk populations including patients who are actively suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, or gravely disabled.
  2. Services will primarily include individual and family-based therapeutic services focusing on interdisciplinary treatment of complex, comorbid, and/or treatment resistant behavioral health disorders. Other clinical activities may include: group work, facilitation of art or music based therapy, and milieu work. This includes maintaining a caseload of minimally 32 billable clinical hours per week.
  3. This position provides on-call services for acute therapeutic needs on a rotating basis.
  4. Works closely with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  5. Works with the multidisciplinary team to create holistic treatment plans and discharge plans individualized for each patient. The position effectively educates and communicates with patients, families, and the care team regarding treatment progress and any necessary adjustments.
