Job Summary:
The Logistics and Optimization Analyst will be a critical part of the Supply and Distribution team, reporting to the Director of Trucking Operations. In this role you will be responsible for the movement of product by truck including maintaining tank levels by use of Insight360 or other such tank monitoring system. You will work within the team to identify the lowest delivered cost given all supply cost and possible delivery scenarios. Over time, the position will expand to use optimization software, ensuring the best buying decision for the greatest financial performance. Additionally, the Optimization desk will oversee inventory management and load building from the trucking companies. We offer a flexible work environment. This means working up to 2 days a week remotely and the rest of the time in the office.At Global Partners, business starts with people. Job Description:
- Forecast, schedule and optimize deliveries to accounts
- Coordinate with haulers on delivery issues
- Track contract volume requirements with suppliers and manage supply accordingly
- Experience with software systems utilized by team (PDI, Smartbuy, Axxis, Insite 360, etc.)
- Manage exceptions to pricing logistics (TVAs, hauler changes, site set up, etc.)
- Coordinate deliveries that require credit approval with the Credit Department
- Assist accounting with pricing or delivery issues as necessary (BOLS, Invoices, freight rates, etc.)
- Assist with delivery issues that requires them to involve hauler and salesperson
- Be available for after hours or weekend supply or hauling issues

- Logistics experience preferred
- Strong math and analytical experience
- Comfortable communicating with staff at all levels of organization
- Comfortable communicating electronically and interactively with station operators, salespeople, and haulers
- Proficiency with MS Office suite in particular Excel (pivot tables,
- Able to work independently, efficiently, and accurately in time sensitive environment
- Responsive to changing priorities, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Critical thinker able to take initiative within team environment
- Some travel between Global office locations.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge
Pay Range:
$63,300.00 - $88,600.00The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
