Permit Coordinator

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to support permit, license and berth booking operations across the NSW portfolio.

Reporting to the Permit and Berth Manager, this role will coordinate permit requests, approvals and operational access activities across public domain, marine and waterfront assets. Working closely with Event Operations, Facilities Management, Helpdesk and HSE teams, you will help ensure safe, compliant and well-coordinated precinct operations within live public environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process permit, license and berth booking requests in line with approved procedures

  • Coordinate approvals, documentation and operational access requirements

  • Maintain accurate permit and berth records and reporting data

  • Support vessel movements, berth usage and precinct access coordination

  • Liaise with Events, Facilities Management and Helpdesk teams to support operations

  • Respond to stakeholder enquiries and provide guidance on permit requirements

  • Identify and escalate compliance, operational or safety risks as required

About You

  • Experience in permit administration, operations coordination or a similar role

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities

  • Clear communication and customer service skills

  • Experience in precinct, waterfront or operational environments desirable

  • Relevant qualification in Operations, Property, Maritime or similar desirable
