We an exciting permanent opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join our Manufacturing team based out of Tomoana, New Zealand!

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Coach and mentor teams on our localised management system & continuous improvement systems

  • Drive shop-floor ownership and embed standard routines for consistent performance

  • Lead structured problem solving to eliminate chronic losses and prevent repeat issues

  • Consolidate and analyse performance data to identify trends and gaps vs targets

  • Develop improvement plans and CI project charters with operators, maintenance, and process owners

  • Improve safety, quality, and process capability through better standards, defect handling, and operator practices

  • Support KPI and loss tree development, maintenance, and governance to guide performance execution

  • Participate in daily/weekly/monthly performance reviews and ensure actions are tracked to deliver productivity, efficiency, and unit cost improvements

About you:

  • Degree in Engineering, Food Science (or similar) with experience in food manufacturing/FMCG

  • Technical understanding of end-to-end, high-complexity food manufacturing processes

  • Practical experience applying Lean/continuous improvement tools to reduce waste and improve performance

  • Skilled in equipment care basics (clean, inspect, lubricate), autonomous maintenance, and structured problem solving

  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) for analysis, reporting, and visual communication

  • Flexible to work across shifts and engage effectively with teams on all rosters

  • Experienced in training operators and facilitating groups to drive consistent ways of working

  • Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills, including writing clear SOPs and short work instructions (e.g., one-point lessons)

  • Eligible to work in New Zealand with full working rights.
