Your Impact & Responsibilities:

  • Direct Treatment: Administer skilled physical therapy treatments and procedures as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Clinical Documentation: Document daily treatment notes and progress reports accurately and timely, in accordance with California state regulations.

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in patient care conferences and communicate effectively with the PT, nursing staff, and supervisors regarding resident progress.

  • Restorative Leadership: Train and guide Restorative Aides in the nursing department to ensure a 24/7 rehabilitative environment.

  • Education & Advocacy: Empower patients, families, and nursing staff through specialized maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for a safe discharge.

  • Professionalism: Maintain a positive, effective, and professional rapport with residents, families, and colleagues at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Active and current California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
