Salary Range - 53,164.00 - 93,038.00
This is a medium custody male facility. This position is responsible for the ongoing preventive and routine corrective maintenance services primarily to Neuse CI and the DART Center.

This position will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive preventative and routine maintenance program that provides maintenance at a level that will ensure that the facility is maintained properly with particular emphasis placed on safety and security. Work will involve the supervision of staff skilled in various building trades and management of an inmate labor force. The person in this position will be responsible for the usual management functions of planning, organizing, assigning and monitoring work at assigned facilities. This position will provide technical supervision and monitor the work efforts of the maintenance positions assigned to the facilities. This position will manage the performance of staff by ensuring awareness of primary job responsibilities and have clear expectations as to how they are to perform their duties. 

Minimum Education and Experience

Associate's degree in construction management, air conditioning, heating and refrigeration technology, industrial maintenance technology or mechanical engineering technology from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of progressive experience in construction or facility maintenance including two (2) years of supervisory experience in construction, maintenance and/or repair of buildings and facilities; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and five (5) years of progressive experience in facility maintenance or construction including journey level experience in at least three (3) building or mechanical trades including two (2) years of supervisory experience in construction, maintenance and/or repair of buildings and facilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
