POSITION SUMMARY:
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for driving advanced analytics, process improvement, and automation initiatives across logistics operations. This role leverages AI and data-driven insights to optimize workflows and improve service performance. The analyst partners cross-functionally and maintains SOPs to ensure scalable and consistent operations. Schedule is Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm, on site in Austin, TX.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reporting tools to track logistics performance, cost, and service metrics.

Leverage AI and advanced analytics to streamline workflows, improve decision-making, and identify optimization opportunities.

Analyze shipment data, vendor performance, and cost trends to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Design and implement process improvements and automation solutions to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Own and maintain department SOPs and work instructions, ensuring documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and scalable.

Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Accounts Payable, Operations, Product Management, Finance, and Project Management) to resolve issues and enhance customer experience.

Build models and frameworks to support vendor evaluations, cost savings initiatives, and network optimization.

Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting tools and systems.

Support and lead cross-functional projects by providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Provide informal mentorship to junior analysts on reporting tools, analytics best practices, and process improvement approaches.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or related field required.

3-6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or data analytics.

Proficiency with advanced analytics and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, BI Platforms, Excel) strongly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated analytical skills necessary to apply computer technology to resolve business problems.

Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or other types of Data Analysis & Reporting.

Microsoft Office skills essential, including Excel. Experience with reporting & analysis applications or business intelligence systems/software required.

Excellent communication and organization skills.
-
Excellent customer service skills able to resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Experience with Microsoft Great Plains ERP System is preferred although not required.

Excels with minimum supervision.

Detail oriented and analytical.
