The Shift Production Manager is a pivotal front line leadership role, responsible for the complete operational management of the assigned shift.
- Cross function/department collaboration including Planning
- Acting as the site commander of the 2nd / 3rd shift
This role is the senior-most leader on-site, ensuring that all production activities within Blending, Filling, and the Raw Material Warehouse to ensure the shift delivers on its commitments to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost competitiveness.
The role requires a hands-on approach to coordinate shift activities, resolve real-time process abnormalities, and lead the team to meet targets while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
1. Safety : Maintain a safe working environment with zero injuries and zero environmental incidents by ensuring strict adherence to Castrol HSSE policies and conducting effective risk assessments on your shift.
2. Quality: Produce high-quality products by maintaining strict compliance with SOPs and quality standards, ensuring zero quality incidents or customer complaints originating from your shift.
3.Compliance: Ensure all operations strictly follow E&C policies and internal control standards, with zero tolerance for violations.
4. Production Plan Adherence: Meet the shift production plan in full, ensuring Blending and Filling operations meet output targets to support customer OTIF (On Time In Full) requirements.
5.Productivity: Drive shift productivity by optimizing resource utilization, minimizing downtime, and achieving operational efficiency targets without compromising safety or quality.
6.Procedure/WI: Establish or update Blending or Filling procures(SOP/WI) to deliver operational excellence.
7. 3P management:Supervise and coordinate Blending and Filling third-party personnel on shifts, ensuring their activities comply with site safety, quality and operational procedures.
8. Operational Discipline: Run a well-controlled shift by overseeing the daily operations of Blending, Filling, and the Raw Material Warehouse, ensuring all processes run to standard.
9. Process Stability: Ensure uninterrupted operations by acting as the first responder to process abnormalities, coordinating real-time troubleshooting to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
10. Resource & Workforce Management: Optimize team performance by managing shift headcount, monitoring attendance, and ensuring the right skills are in place for each operational area.
11. Cost Efficiency & Waste Reduction: Control cost by actively monitoring material usage and yield, minimizing waste, and optimizing raw material consumption during blending and filling.
12. Shift Handover Excellence: Guarantee seamless operational continuity by providing clear, accurate, and detailed shift reports and handovers to the oncoming shift management team.
13. Team Capability & Engagement: Build a competent and motivated team by coaching operators, providing real-time feedback, training and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
14. Continuous Improvement Culture: Drive tangible improvements by leading or supporting Kaizen events and encouraging your team to contribute ideas that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements
1.Bachelor or above degree in management or engineering.
2.8 years working experience in production, at least 3 years production management experience.
3.Fluent in both oral and written English
4.Basic PC skills (word processing & spread sheets)
Desired
1, Professional in lubricant product and production knowledge preferred.
2, Skill in implementing International Standards Organization (ISO) management system.
3, Strong communication and coordination skill, strong accountability.
4, Experience in setting up a brand new plant or operation team is a plus.
5, Mastery on HSSE Management System.
