About the role

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Development:

  • Design, build, and configure applications using PEGA's low-code/no-code capabilities, including flows, UI (sections, harnesses), activities, data models, and integrations.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement them within the PEGA platform.
  • Develop and implement reusable components, frameworks, and enterprise-specific solutions.

Business Process Management (BPM) Implementation:

  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Stakeholders to understand and refine business processes.
  • Model and implement complex business rules, service level agreements (SLAs), and routing logic.
  • Optimize existing processes for efficiency and automation.

Integration Development:

  • Integrate PEGA applications with other internal and external systems using various integration technologies (e.g., REST, SOAP, Kafka, database connectors).
  • Develop and consume web services, and ensure secure and efficient data exchange.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of PEGA applications.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues and defects.

Performance Optimization:

  • Analyze and optimize PEGA application performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable and meet non-functional requirements.

Documentation and Best Practices:

  • Create and maintain technical design documents, solution architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
  • Adhere to PEGA best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

Mentoring and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and other developers.
  • Mentor junior PEGA developers and share knowledge within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in PEGA application development (Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Lead System Architect (LSA) certification preferred).
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong proficiency in PEGA Platform versions (e.g., 8.x).
    • Hands-on experience with PEGA PRPC (Pega Rules Process Commander) core features.
    • Experience with PEGA UI development (Pega Cosmos, UI-Kit).
    • Proficiency in database concepts (SQL) and experience with various database platforms.
    • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for front-end development within PEGA.
    • Experience with integration technologies (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
  • Methodology: Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and PEGA's DCO (Direct Capture of Objectives) approach.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
