About the role

Job Description & Summary

Do you want to make an impact in the audit practice while continuing your studies? Are you looking for a working student position where you can immediately contribute to client assignments and apply your knowledge in practice? 

As a working student within Assurance, you will join an open and inclusive team where collaboration and impact are key. You will participate as a full team member on real client engagements, with clear guidance and room to learn. You’ll receive on-the-job coaching and gain exposure to different sectors and organizations. This way, you’ll build skills and relationships that will advance your career. 

 

What you will do 

In this role, you will support the team with audit work on financial statements. You will carefully document your findings, discuss results with the client under supervision, and ensure quality together with your team. You will apply your academic knowledge to real cases and receive valuable feedback to accelerate your growth. Additionally, you will: 

  • Perform detailed audit procedures on financial statement items under the guidance of a job coach and document them in the file; 

  • Conduct client discussions about identified findings under supervision; 

  • Test the effective operation of internal controls; 

  • Ensure internal quality checks with team members to finalize the file; 

 

What we are looking for 

You communicate clearly, work accurately, and you are service-oriented toward colleagues and clients. You take initiative, work purposefully, and thrive on achieving results together. In addition, you bring: 

  • You are in the third year of your university bachelor’s degree (e.g., Economics or Business Administration) or pursuing an MSc in Accountancy; 

  • You have basic knowledge of audit processes and financial statement items; 

  • You can accurately document and perform numerical analyses; 

  • You are comfortable working with common Office tools such as Excel; 

  • You speak fluent Dutch and English, both written and spoken; 

  • You are available for 3–6 months, at least 3 days per week; 

  • You are available starting September, November, or February.
