Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Petroleum Engineer as part of Production Management Team under Production Organization ensuring the safe and optimum delivery of production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operating limits for wells, reservoirs, and production systems.

  • Own the excursions process: trigger investigations, communicate with stakeholders and advisers, and implement corrective actions.

  • Monitor wells and reservoir chokes continuously, coordinating with Operations, Field, Process, Plant, and Subsurface teams.

  • Assess and manage well and reservoir production risks, maintaining the health of corresponding controls and barriers.

  • Execute system modeling and optimization outputs to support efficient production.

  • Maintain well and network models (PROSPER/GAP) with up-to-date production performance, performing regular calibration using the latest well tests and operating data for surveillance, allocation, and forecasting.

  • Support wells production and CO2 injection activities; recommend operating changes, including capacity adjustments when applicable, and lead investigations as required.

  • Facilitate wellwork and new well start-up execution, including risk assessments, field instructions, and operational readiness verification.

  • Report deferrals, risks, vulnerabilities, and well opportunities to relevant interested parties.

  • Drive the well activity workflow process and ensure well testing and allocation processes are delivered effectively.

  • Participate in wells and reservoir reviews, depletion planning, and surveillance planning, and implement associated plans.

  • Lead and support capacity reviews to ensure production targets are met.

  • Manage CO2 injection activities, ensuring safe and optimized operations.

  • Deliver short-term production and injection forecasts to support operational and business planning.

  • Contribute to quarterly business planning, including Quarterly Business Review (QBR) submissions and 8-quarter outlooks.

  • Update well history records in Wellbook consistently.

  • Ensure well and reservoir guidelines are implemented across the region and share lessons learned with other bp regions.

Qualifications:

  • BSc or BEng(UK or equivalent experience), BSc (US), or international equivalent in an engineering subject area - Petroleum Engineering is preferred.

  • Proven experience in Petroleum Engineering.

  • Demonstrates growth, self-awareness & integrity.
