About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst I, Middle Mile and Last Mile Transportation to support the critical day-to-day execution and optimization of our transportation networks. This role is essential for maintaining business continuity and supporting essential operations, acting as a crucial part of our Middle Mile and Last Mile networks. The Analyst I will focus on ensuring high service levels through proactive shipment monitoring, data-driven reporting, and strong carrier coordination. You will play a vital role in maintaining network fluidity and helping the team achieve key cost and performance targets within the context of time-sensitive, temperature-controlled grocery e-commerce deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage transportation operations, including carrier relationships, route optimization, and cost control to ensure on-time deliveries and cost savings 
  • Continuously identify areas for process improvement within the network to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization in supply chain operations
  • Evaluate and optimize inventory levels, distribution networks, and transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize operational efficiency
  • Build dashboards, self-service tools, and ad hoc reports to analyze and present data associated with business operations, and strategic decision making
  • Identify actionable insights, recommend business actions, and influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating metrics and results to stakeholders

Network Operations & Execution

    • Support Middle Mile (MM) network operations by partnering with cross-functional teams to meet daily business needs.
    • Align with inbound and outbound Operations teams on truck schedules and proactively monitor shipments to mitigate unforeseen issues such as delays or accidents.
    • Manage and resolve system exceptions, including issues related to loading errors, incorrect load information, and missing pickup details within the transportation management system.
