The Specialist for Platform Release Management is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end release activities across the Veeva Clinical Vault ecosystem. This role ensures releases across multiple environments and vendors are effectively planned, coordinated, validated, and executed in a compliant, controlled, and scalable manner.


 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, own, and execute the end‑to‑end release management strategy for the Clinical Vault platform
  • Establish and run a formal release governance framework including release calendars, readiness gates, and approvals
  • Act as the primary point of contact for integration activities across Veeva, middleware or integration platforms, data platforms, and external clinical systems
  • Plan and coordinate releases across all environments including development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and production
  • Manage deployment sequencing, configuration consistency, and regression testing to ensure reliable and predictable releases
  • Coordinate release activities across multiple internal teams and external vendors including integration, configuration, and validation partners
  • Own integration‑related risks, assumptions, dependencies, and mitigations, escalating decisions early with clear options and impacts
  • Lead cutover planning for integration components including runbooks, rollback strategies, and go‑live readiness activities
  • Review and validate vendor deployment plans, release notes, and supporting documentation
  • Serve as the central point of communication for release status, risks, issues, and impacts while driving continuous process improvement

  Key Deliverables include:

  • Release calendars and governance documentation
  • Integration roadmap aligned to the release calendar
  • Release notes, risk assessments, and readiness checklists
  • Environment management plans and deployment strategies
  • Cross-vendor alignment plans and key performance indicators
  • Release performance dashboards and post-release reviews
  • Hypercare plan and monitoring requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in information technology release management, product delivery, or platform operations
  • Strong understanding of Veeva Vault Clinical Suite or comparable regulated software as a service platform
  • Proven experience working in complex Veeva‑based environments with enterprise integrations
  • Solid knowledge of integration concepts including interfaces, cross‑system data flows, and integration best practices
  • Demonstrated expertise in release planning, deployment orchestration, and multi‑environment management
  • Strong knowledge of regulated delivery including validation, data integrity, security, and audit readiness
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing concepts
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across global teams and vendors

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working in pharmaceutical or life sciences organizations within regulated clinical environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration, and automated testing frameworks
