POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Operations Coordinator will be responsible for key initiatives related to machinery aftermarket support and sales operations.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Support process improvement, project administration, and perform critical day-to-day operational tasks to include:
    1. Communicate, set up, submit, and track merchandising and other Caterpillar programs and claims.
    2. Administer Prioritized Service Events (PSE) and other sales leads to maximize opportunities, participation, and wins.
    3. Prepare equipment for delivery or pick up and follow up to ensure schedules are kept and updated.
    4. Process customer invoicing by reviewing quotes and other relevant information to ensure accuracy.
    5. Support machinery inventory and ordering by coordinating with other departments and outside vendors, as well as monitoring and updating incoming and outgoing inventory.
  2. Perform data administration and analysis, including data quality initiatives, CRM maintenance, inventory, sales coverage, and invoice history.
  3. Prepare inventory, sales, and other relevant reports to keep management and other teams updated.
  4. Support Hawthorne’s Digital business as designated by the Corporate Support Services Manager, including key aspects of customer applications, connectivity, eCommerce, fleet management, onboarding, and reporting.
  5. Measure POPS-C, POLS, and other key metrics to identify aftermarket opportunities.
  6. Establish positive working relationships with customers (internal and external).
  7. Support various initiatives, programs, and promotions for Hawthorne, including customer and team events.
  8. Comply with all company, department, and Caterpillar policies and procedures.
  9. Perform and support various other duties and projects assigned to meet company, department, or individual goals and objectives.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. Two to five years of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Experience and/or training in process improvement and project management preferred.
  3. Ability to effectively communicate with external and internal customers clearly and professionally, both in person and in writing.
  4. Must be a team player with the ability to adapt to and work well with people at all levels and in a variety of situations.
  5. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
  6. Must have a high school degree or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred.
  7. Product knowledge in Caterpillar and associated product lines preferred.
  8. DBS and/or AS400 experience preferred.
  9. Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  10. Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  11. Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Walking and moving about on foot often up and down stairs.
  2. Handling: Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
  3. Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous paperwork.
  4. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
  5. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
  6. Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
  7. Vision: Read computer and paperwork.
  8. Talking: Communications by phone and in person.
  9. Sitting: Sits at desk.  Sits for long periods of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL:          

  1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
  2. Temp/Weather: Works in an office environment.
