About the role

We’re rethinking homes for how people really live, and we’re looking for a Senior Visual Merchandiser to join our Creative team to help shape the future of living—one thoughtful detail at a time.

Success in this role means establishing a clear and consistent retail experience that feels unmistakably Castlery across every market. Within your first year, you'll close the gap between how our brand shows up online and in-store, build visual merchandising standards and toolkits that local teams can confidently execute, and create the systems, processes, and infrastructure needed to scale. You'll not only maintain standards but continuously raise them; ensuring new store openings launch stronger, existing stores improve over time, and teams have the clarity and direction needed to deliver exceptional customer experiences consistently.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own VM direction across Castlery's retail stores globally, from concept through in-store execution.
  • Translate brand campaigns and seasonal directions into store environments — floor layouts, displays, styling, and installations.
  • Develop VM guidelines and toolkits that market teams can implement consistently across locations.
  • Conduct regular store audits and reviews to assess execution quality and close gaps.
  • Work closely with brand and creative teams to ensure the in-store experience is coherent with how Castlery shows up everywhere else.
  • Manage VM budgets across multiple markets efficiently.
  • Travel to markets to oversee key store openings, resets, and campaign rollouts.
  • Guide and upskill in-market store teams on best practices and brand standards.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and prop suppliers.

What you need to succeed:

  • 6+ years of VM experience, with a portfolio covering retail store design, display, and campaign translation to physical space.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture, interior décor, and retail merchandising trends.
  • A good eye for spatial composition, product placement, lighting, and the details customers notice without knowing why.
  • Experience working across multiple markets — cross-cultural adaptability is important in this role.
  • Able to build VM systems and guidelines that non-specialists can follow and execute well.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and CAD software (AutoCAD or SketchUp).
  • Solid project and budget management skills across concurrent store rollouts.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working across HQ and market teams.
  • Ability to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders is an advantage to effectively liaise with our Chinese design team
  • Experience in home, furniture, or lifestyle retail is preferred.
