The Senior Business Analyst / Developer in Legal Reporting (Nasdaq Axiom) is key to connecting business and technology within Julius Baer’s reporting function. This role focuses on understanding business needs and translating them into clear technical requirements for implementing and managing regulatory reports in Nasdaq Axiom. Responsibilities include design, development, testing, and rollout of reporting solutions, ensuring high data quality and integration across various source systems. The individual will work closely with teams across Technology and Finance to support effective reporting and governance. The position requires a blend of analytical thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on delivery to drive efficient and sustainable solutions in a dynamic environment.YOUR CHALLENGE
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving requirements gathering, solution design, development oversight, and successful deployment
Design and implement scalable data solutions integrating multiple source systems into unified platforms, aligned with the project goals
Translate complex business needs - particularly in finance, risk, and regulation - into actionable technical specifications and agile development backlogs
Deliver high quality business analysis, requirements, code, aligned with Julius Baer guidelines and standards
Work together in a cross functional teams
Understand business needs by working together with your colleagues from across different divisions of Julius Baer
Co-develop and co-maintain robust data governance frameworks, including data quality monitoring, ownership models, and change control processes
YOUR PROFILE
8+ years of demonstrated experience in IT business analysis or system analysis within financial services, preferably in legal/regulatory reporting environments
Proven dual capability: strong business analysis skills combined with hands-on technical development experience in reporting tools, particularly Nasdaq Axiom, or equivalent platforms (e.g., AxiomSL ControllerView)
In-depth understanding of key financial regulations including Basel III, MiFID II or SNB reporting and related reporting frameworks (e.g., COREP, FINREP, TRUM)
Technical proficiency in SQL (preferably Oracle), ETL processes, and data integration patterns; experience with enterprise data architectures and warehouse concepts
Familiarity with core banking systems such as Temenos T24 (now Transact) is highly advantageous
Nasdaq Axiom configuration, rule-building, and deployment lifecycle management (or comparable)
Proficiency in one or more reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SSRS)
Functional awareness of balance sheet structures, capital adequacy metrics, and trading book operations
Data Management (CDMP, DAMA – desirable)
Risk or Regulatory Compliance (e.g., FRM, CAIA — desirable)
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of influencing stakeholders at various levels
Fluency in English (C1); ability to produce precise documentation and facilitate workshops
