We are seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst who will work on VAT compliance related matters, assisting the Indirect Tax Compliancer Manager with the required filing; review/improve compliance procedures; and supporting related Indirect Tax planning projects. The position is designed for an analyst who will play a key role in ensuring compliance

Essential Job Functions:

  • Indirect tax compliance is outsourced to an external provider; the role requires ensuring smooth communication and adherence to deadlines.

  • Perform controls and reconciliations of VAT general ledger accounts.

  • Support the development of an indirect tax risk and governance framework, leveraging technology where appropriate and driving continuous improvement.

  • Drive efficiencies in VAT processes and optimize cash flow and balance sheet positions.

  • Support the Indirect Tax Manager in handling indirect tax controversies and policy matters, maintaining strong relationships with tax authorities.

  • Monitor new indirect tax legislation, assess implications, and ensure updates to ERP systems, manuals, and policies, while maintaining effective communication with relevant stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, or a related field.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are considered an advantage.

  • Previous experience in a Big 4 firm and/or a reputable legal firm in corporate tax, or in an in-house indirect tax role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong organizational abilities.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines driven by project timelines or tax authority requirements.

  • Proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative while seeking guidance when needed.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., SAP) and related processes; experience with Power BI is a plus.
