Join Vertex Service Partners as a Human Resources Administrator! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to support a region of our partner companies by providing direct support and execution of employee services. The ideal candidate enjoys the operational function of human resources while providing excellent support to our employees. They should be detail orientated, have great time management and enjoy executing weekly operational HR tasks while collaborating with a growing team of HR professionals. Must be able to build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and be an adaptable team player!

Key Responsibilities:

New Hire Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding in partnership with the talent acquisition team and local management.
  • Coordinate check lists and initiate ADP onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with I-9 verification and E-Verify processes.
  • Assist in facilitating a great Day 1 experience.

Employee Data Management

  • Maintain accurate employee records, including pay changes, job titles, and reporting structures.
  • Process employee terminations and support HRIS maintenance and reporting.
  • Support the migration of new acquisitions into the centralized system.

Payroll Support

  • Administer weekly payroll processing, including timecard approvals, prorations, commissions, and garnishments.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of payroll items.
  • Coordinate tax jurisdiction setup and manage manual payroll adjustments.

Benefits and Leave Administration

  • Conduct benefits orientation and ensure timely enrollment for new hires.
  • Manage open enrollment, FMLA, and other leave administration processes.
  • Coordinate pay adjustments during leave and manage missed benefit deductions.

Reporting and Compliance

  • Assist with payroll audits and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Prepare year-end tax documents, including W-2 and 1095 forms.

Employee Engagement

  • Support employee inquiries and manage response time efficiently
  • Assist with company engagement surveys and culture building both regionally and at the corporate level

Qualifications & Characteristics

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-4 years of HR generalist (or related administrative) experience covering the various areas in the job description
  • Proficiency in using office software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication skill, both written and verbal, and relationship building skills
  • Detail orientated with strong data and process capabilities

  • Ability to balance a multitude of priorities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in using HR Systems, ADP Workforce Now experience
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary with a target range of $60,000-65,000.
