Insights Manager – Business Intelligence & Analytics (Financial Services)

This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for someone who can translate complex financial and operational data into strategic insight, influence senior stakeholders, and operate confidently within a highly regulated environment.

The Role
 

As an Insights Manager, you will shape and deliver the analytics strategy for a financial services programme—driving performance, enhancing customer outcomes, and ensuring insight-led decision-making at every level.

You’ll lead a team of analysts, elevate reporting and governance standards, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ensuring insights are robust, compliant, and commercially impactful.
 

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Insight & Financial Performance

  • Define the analytics roadmap aligned to financial, regulatory, and customer experience objectives

  • Deliver actionable insights that support risk mitigation, revenue optimisation, and operational efficiency

  • Interpret complex datasets across customer, operational, and financial performance metrics

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Insight Analysts

  • Embed a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement

  • Establish scalable frameworks and best practices aligned to regulated environments

Advanced Analytics & Governance

  • Drive advanced analytics including forecasting, segmentation, and root cause analysis

  • Ensure data integrity, audit readiness, and compliance with regulatory standards

  • Leverage tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or R to deliver accurate and scalable insights

Reporting, Storytelling & Influence

  • Oversee executive dashboards, performance scorecards, and governance reporting

  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders

  • Support decision-making with insight that balances commercial objectives and regulatory considerations

Stakeholder & Client Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders within the financial services sector

  • Lead governance forums, business reviews, and performance discussions

  • Build strong relationships across operations, risk, and compliance teams

Performance Optimisation & Innovation

  • Embed insight into forecasting, capacity planning, and performance management

  • Drive automation and innovation in reporting, including AI and scalable analytics solutions

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining rigorous compliance standards

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Insights, including leadership responsibility

  • Proven experience delivering insights within financial services, banking, insurance, or similarly regulated industries

  • Strong technical capability in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python/R

  • Deep understanding of data governance, regulatory considerations, and audit requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders through data-driven storytelling

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk, compliance, and performance

  • Experience in contact centres or customer operations is advantageous

  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma / structured methodologies is beneficial
