Position Summary:

This position collaborates with the local distribution center, purchasing and planning teams to improve inventory accuracy/health, distribution processes, quality, and planning execution.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and implements solutions to address inventory accuracy issues.  Reviews distribution, purchasing and logistics processes to understand root causes and reduce risk of future repeat problems.
  • Collaborates with the distribution, planning, purchasing teams to identify information gaps for unit of measure and other product attributes.  Determines missing information and updates the system accordingly to improve space planning and drive administrative efficiencies.
  • Reviews inventory both systematically and physically to understand excess, obsolete and damaged inventory and works cross-functionally to get disposition of said inventory.
  • Acts as a point of contact for 3PL shipping and receiving and inventory control and adjustments, including disposal, cleanliness, and control.
  • Supports site to execute and improve operational performance in the following areas: shipping/receiving, reporting, inventory control, cycle counting and data consistency between SCALE and AX.
  • Provides daily support to the distribution operations teams for SCALE, including setup and general troubleshooting.
  • Supports pick line efficiencies including line reset, label creation, line sequencing and line slotting.
  • Coordinates special projects with site distribution operations.
  • Manages and resolves site IT service tickets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience:

Required

  • Experience with quality assurance and/or control in a distribution environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office & ERP/WMS systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Must be self-directed and able to work with little supervision

Preferred

  • Knowledge of DC planning for shipping and receiving.
  • Successful experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management or related field, or equivalent experience
