Location/Division Specific Information:
As part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG), the High Point, NC site focuses on gelatin-based drug delivery dosage forms (softgels). We offer extensive development and commercial scale capabilities for a variety of softgels technologies.
How Will You Make an Impact?
The Machine Operator II/Formulation Technician II will be responsible for operating an encapsulating machine to produce products form pre-mixed ingredients, insuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in process measurements, and quality product.
A Day in the Life:
- Manufacture of simple, bulk products
- Observes machine operation. Adjust as needed. Takes samples of product and performs in process testing.
- Assists Set-Up person to set up machine, empty basket and clean and prepare machine for changeover. Also assists with the actual changeover.
- Assists with cleanup and other Encapsulation duties as needed. May perform other reasonable, related business duties.
- Operates inline printing equipment
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting or related field.
- Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations and troubleshooting skills
- The ability to work a 12-hour shift in a 24-hour, 7 day per week operation.
- Meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested.
- Must be able to work overtime if necessary.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds
