SUMMARY

The Manager, Cardiovascular Quality is responsible for leading quality improvement, outcomes monitoring, and clinical registry management across cardiovascular programs. This role oversees cardiovascular data abstraction and analytics, ensures compliance with national registry requirements, and partners with clinical leadership to drive performance improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, safety, and program accreditation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead cardiovascular quality and performance improvement initiatives across interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart, cardiac surgery, and vascular programs.

  • Oversee cardiovascular clinical registry operations, including data abstraction, validation, submission, staff supervision, and compliance with national registry standards.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report key quality, outcome, volume, and performance metrics; benchmark results against national standards and peer organizations.

  • Support cardiovascular accreditation, certification, regulatory compliance, audits, and survey readiness activities.

  • Facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nursing leaders, advanced practice providers, and operational teams to drive quality improvement and optimize patient outcomes.

  • Translate complex clinical and registry data into actionable insights and performance improvement strategies for clinical, operational, and executive leadership.

  • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement, data transparency, and evidence-based practice through education, coaching, and stakeholder engagement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

  • Masters preferred

  • Valid NYS Registered Nurse License

  • 2 years of process improvement experience, program/project development, and clinical quality improvement.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare quality, cardiovascular program management, or clinical registry oversight.

  • Experience with cardiovascular registries such as the American College of Cardiology NCDR or the Society of Thoracic Surgeons STS preferred.

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Quality improvement methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent)

  • Healthcare analytics and performance benchmarking

  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular clinical programs and workflows

  • Leadership, collaboration, and change management

  • Data visualization and reporting tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

$75,000.00 - $115,000.00
