About the role
Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA- accredited hospital located in Washington D.C. is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic veterinary technicians to join our Emergency and ICU teams! If you’ve developed the taste for emergency medicine and enjoy being part of a collaborative, diverse team – we’d love to meet you!
About the role:
In this fast-paced role, you’ll work closely with ER/ECC doctors, fellow technicians, and assistants to provide high-quality, emergent care. Ideal candidates are confident in triage, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, history taking, and anesthesia monitoring, and are committed to teamwork, multitasking, and continuous skill development. We are open to multiple skill levels, so if you have been interested in exploring a new opportunity in emergency medicine, this could be a great opportunity to learn something new.
Schedule: This is a full-time position. Schedule is four 10 hour shifts per week with various shifts available. Some weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications
- Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT, CVT, RVT) preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years experience working as a veterinary technician required.
- Recover certification a plus, but not required.
