Position Summary
We are seeking a Machine Operator to run high-speed stamping and press equipment producing 10-gauge and 12-gauge steel panels and related steel components. This role is responsible for operating press machines safely and efficiently while meeting quality and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate stamping presses, including punch presses, brake presses, benders, and cut-off presses
- Produce 10- and 12-gauge steel panels and related steel components to specification
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine dimensions and tolerances
- Perform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers as needed
- Inspect parts using measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, angle gauges)
- Monitor quality, minimize scrap, and document production results
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report malfunctions promptly
- Operate barcode scanners and machine interfaces for production tracking
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the workstation ready for work at the start of the shift, and work mandatory overtime when necessary

- Maintain a clean, safe work area
- Meet daily production and quality targets
Qualifications
- High School/GED required
- 2+ years of manufacturing or press operation experience required
- Experience working with heavy-gauge steel (10–12 gauge preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Soft Skills
- Ability to read and understand a tape measure, 12-inch scale, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices (Imperial and Metric)
- Basic computer skills (preferred)
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Mathematical Skills: Must be able to convert fractions to decimals, must be familiar with the metric system and metric to imperial conversions
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Physical Demands
- Standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs frequently; heavier loads occasionally
- Work in a manufacturing environment with noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
