Patient Care Directors Make It Possible

Patient Care Director - RN – Radiation Oncology & Gamma Knife

At NewYork-Presbyterian, our oncology service line is at the forefront of a bold new era. We delivered the first intra-arterial Avastin directly into a malignant brain tumor and pioneered the use of low-dose CT scanning for early detection of lung cancer, and more breakthroughs are on the way. From bone marrow transplant, hematological malignancies, to solid tumor cancers, and many other conditions, we see the widest variety of cases from around the world. Our collaborative team approach, compassionate care, and outstanding leadership inspire the thousands of lives we touch.

Drive strategic initiatives that shape the future of emergency care and align with hospital-wide goals. Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience. Assume front-line responsibility for the unit's fiscal performance, resource allocation, scheduling, staff evaluation, and patient care delivery on a 24-hour basis. Excel as a change agent, advancing initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance throughout the unit, caring for a variety of patient populations.
