The MRI Technician will perform CT scan studies, MRI Studies and/or diagnostic radiology procedures. Performs venipuncture for intravenous line establishment in the upper extremity for purpose of administering intravenous contrast agents. Knowledgeable of the signs of adverse reactions to contrast materials and the required procedure to follow in the event the patient experiences an adverse reaction.
Requirements:
-HS Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
-New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
-ARRT certificate required.
-New York State License with Certification to inject contrast media under Section 89.40 of Part 89 of Title 10 NYCRR required.
-Current BLS certification required.
-Two years experience (may include clinical training during the 2 year program) in performing CT or MR scanning procedures.
-Prior experience in venipuncture and establishment of intravenous lines preferred.
Days w/ eo wknd & hols; 8a-4p
Salary Range: $51.339/hr - $53.547/hr
