Job Description Summary
The Student Service Coordinator is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive student services program for more than 275 music students pursuing their undergraduate degrees. This position provides academic advising to undergraduates in the School of Music. This position works with academic directors to coordinate and communicate a class schedule that meets the school's evolving curricular needs, including on-line scheduling of summer/winter terms with OES. This position coordinates all required campus reports related to students. This position also inputs and maintains data on current student enrollment (undergraduate and graduate), as well as studio assignments, jury rotations, etc. This position provides excellent student services including but not limited to: registration, orientation, advising, retention, academic and career development and commencement. This position represents the School of Music at undergraduate transfer meetings and fairs that take place throughout the state of Maryland (MACMA), and also makes public presentations at admissions and enrollment events as the undergraduate specialist.Physical Demands: Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and/or travel to deliver and pick up materials.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) year of experience in higher education, academic advising, student personnel administration, or counseling.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of recruitment, retention, and customer service best practices.
Knowledge of organization and administration best practices.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service.
