A day in the life

The Technical Asset Manager will oversee the technical performance, and operations & maintenance for distributed generation renewable energy assets in Europe, (FTM, BTM and BESS). The Technical Asset manager will with work with third party O&M service providers as well as other Prologis functions to optimize asset performance.  In this role you will be asked to lead and create new processes to support a fast-growing portfolio across EU. You will also collaborate with others to problem solve and expand best practices globally. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor asset performance, identify deviations from expected output, and implement corrective actions to optimize energy production
• Coordinate inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs with third-party O&M providers to minimize downtime and ensure asset reliability
• Analyze operational and performance data to produce monthly reports and recommend improvements
• Manage O&M agreements, including vendor coordination, compliance tracking, and documentation
• Oversee O&M-related costs, including invoice approvals, and support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Lead technical handover from construction to operations and onboard new systems into operational processes
• Administer contractual guarantees, warranties, and claims while supporting risk assessment and mitigation for asset operations

Building blocks for success

Required:

• 3+ years of experience managing or operating solar assets
• Experience managing O&M contracts across multiple European countries, including vendor oversight and compliance monitoring
• Experience resolving complex operational issues through coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Excel, Python, or energy monitoring software
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail and deadlines
• Experience working with DAS/SCADA systems and maintenance management platforms
• Experience applying health and safety practices within operational renewable energy environments
• Understanding of business systems such as billing, accounting, procurement, or document management
• Ability to travel up to 15%

Preferred:

• Experience managing or operating battery energy storage systems (BESS) or other renewable energy assets
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field, or equivalent experience
• Field experience supporting renewable energy asset operations
• Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcome
