The Role and Impact
As an AI Software Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping cutting-edge AI solutions that drive the adoption of Intel products. Collaborating with internal engineering teams, external partners, customers, and ISVs, you will leverage your expertise to research technical trends, prototype solutions, and develop AI software-including open-source libraries and models. By optimizing performance through deep knowledge of AI frameworks, algorithms, and hardware, you will contribute to Intel's leadership in AI innovation. Your efforts will deliver benchmark solutions and impactful workloads that influence future product requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Research technical trends and utilize deep domain expertise to prototype and develop AI software solutions, including open-source libraries and models.
• Optimize AI model performance using frameworks, algorithms, models, and hardware features.
• Adjust and develop AI models, code, parameters, and quantization techniques to enhance operational efficiency and solve performance issues.
• Collaborate with AI algorithm and framework engineers to optimize end-to-end AI models for Intel hardware features.
• Provide technical enabling and serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with Intel hardware and software teams to accelerate and optimize future products in AI and high-performance computing domains.
• Deliver benchmark collateral and drive key workloads into product requirements while architecting innovative projection tools and methodologies.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a specialized field such as Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years with a Master's degree, or 0 years with a PhD.
• Proficiency in Python software engineering, including experience with Python 3.10+.
• Object-oriented programming expertise and familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, and Pytest.
• Demonstrated ability to design highly optimized software and algorithms.
• Familiarity with working in Linux environments.
• Proven problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience in AI, machine learning, or deep learning.
• Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, vLLM, or other ML tools.
• Understanding of GPU architecture and parallel programming concepts.
• General knowledge of deep learning/machine learning operators, profiling, and logging.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work globally across diverse groups and stakeholders.

The Software Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
