We’re looking for an experienced Manager, Map Production to lead a critical function within our Mapping Operations team. This role will manage a team of subject matter experts responsible for high quality map annotations, policy enforcement, and escalation resolutions in addition to driving performance and efficiency across a large, international vendor workforce.
The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, process optimization, and performance management experience. You will be responsible for building scalable workflows, establishing clear documentation and standards, and using data to continuously improve production performance.
In this role, you will
- Lead and develop a team of 8-10 highly trained Operators through coaching, regular performance feedback, and career development support
- Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Own performance of a large, globally distributed workforce through data-driven management systems and clear, standardized operating procedures
- Ensure production targets for throughput, quality, and productivity are defined and consistently met
- Monitor operational metrics and proactively address performance regressions
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and consistency across multiple mapping workflows
- Design and implement standardized processes that enable Operators to consistently produce high-quality annotations at scale
- Partner with Training, Product Operations, and Engineering to translate domain knowledge into scalable training and documentation
- Partner with Data Analytics to identify trends and drive targeted improvements with measurable results
- Advocate for user experience and pain points with Product Operations and Engineering to help identify tooling opportunities to improve performance metrics
- Support launch and scaling of new annotation initiatives and mapping programs
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in Operations or Operational Strategy roles
- 5+ years of experience managing people and developing high-performing teams
- Strong experience with process optimization, standardization, and operational scaling
- Experience managing large operational programs with distributed teams
- Strong analytics skills and experience using data to drive performance improvements
- Experience developing clear operational documentation and workflows
- Experience working closely with Product Operations, Training, Data Analytics, and Engineering to improve operational workflows and tools
