VMWare Senior Engineer / SME

What success looks like in this role:

• Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere environments (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN)
• Implement and support Site Recovery Manager (SRM / Live Recovery Manager) and disaster recovery solutions
• Design and operate Stretched / Metro Cluster architectures
• Configure and manage VMware NSX‑T for networking and security
• Engineer high availability, recoverability, scalability, and lifecycle management solutions
• Perform monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis
• Automate VMware operational tasks and processes
• Support and deliver complex datacenter and hybrid infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Required Skills & Experience

  VMware & Virtualization

• 8+ years of overall IT experience
• 5+ years of VMware engineering experience
• Strong hands-on knowledge of:
  • vSphere / ESXi
  • vCenter
  • vSAN
  • Site Recovery Manager (SRM / Live Recovery Manager)
  • Stretched / Metro Clusters
  • VMware NSX‑T

• Hardware Platforms

• 5+ years of experience with:
  • Dell VxRail
  • Dell PowerFlex
• Proven ability to configure, operate, and troubleshoot these platforms
• OS administration experience across Linux, Unix, and Windows
• Solid understanding of:
  • Infrastructure architecture principles
  • Security, data, integration, and application layers
• Microsoft technologies: Active Directory and Domains
• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise or large-scale production environments
• Exposure to hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Automation and scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
• VMware or vendor certifications are a plus

• Operating Systems & Infrastructure
