About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

We’re looking for a strategic, commercially minded Account Executive to join our Australian Public Sector team, with a focus on New South Wales Government and the Education sector.

This is a high impact role at the intersection of technology, policy, and community outcomes. You will partner with government organisations to modernise service delivery, improve citizen experiences, and drive large scale digital transformation through the next generation of Salesforce technology.

As a trusted advisor, you will engage senior stakeholders across departments, agencies, and statutory bodies, helping them navigate complex challenges and unlock the value of data, AI, automation, and workflow at scale.

Your Impact

You will own and drive strategic customer engagements across the full sales lifecycle, from shaping opportunity through to deal closure and long term account growth.

Working across Salesforce’s ecosystem, you will bring together internal specialists, partners, and industry expertise to deliver tailored, outcome driven solutions aligned to government priorities.

Your ability to understand policy direction, procurement frameworks, and sector specific challenges, particularly within NSW and Education, will be critical in positioning Salesforce as a long term transformation partner.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead strategic sales engagements across NSW Government and Education accounts, driving adoption of Salesforce solutions aligned to key transformation priorities

  • Identify, shape, and progress complex opportunities, managing long, multi stakeholder sales cycles with a consultative, value based approach

  • Build and maintain senior relationships across business and technology leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to influence decision making

  • Navigate government procurement processes, compliance requirements, and funding models with confidence

  • Collaborate with Solution Engineers, Industry Advisors, Customer Success, and partners to co create scalable, outcome focused solutions

  • Develop a deep understanding of sector trends, including the role of AI, data, and automation in public service delivery

  • Represent Salesforce across industry forums, roundtables, and executive engagements to strengthen our presence in the public sector ecosystem

  • Contribute to account planning and long term growth strategies across key government portfolios

About You

  • Proven success in enterprise sales within SaaS, technology, or complex B2B environments

  • Experience selling into government and or strong understanding of public sector structures, procurement, and decision making cycles

  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including executive and policy level leaders

  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing complex deals and delivering against targets

  • Skilled at navigating ambiguity and building momentum across long sales cycles

  • Collaborative approach, with experience working cross functionally to deliver customer outcomes

  • Interest in, or experience with, Education and or NSW Government is highly regarded

Why Salesforce

  • Be part of a market leader shaping the future of digital government

  • Work on initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes for communities across Australia

  • Join a values driven organisation consistently recognised as a great place to work

Benefits include:

  • 7 days paid volunteer leave plus donation matching

  • Comprehensive health and income protection insurance

  • Monthly wellbeing allowance

  • Flexible leave and parental benefits

  • Access to a wide range of employee perks and discounts
