Within the Franciscan team, the RN Clinical Education Manager is responsible for the assessment, development, coordination, teaching, and evaluation of educational activities for the patient care staff. This position utilizes needs assessments, strategic plans, regulatory requirements, and nursing input to establish nursing education priorities for the organization. The manager’s goal is to lead the department to implement cost-effective and state-of-the-art learning technologies for the nursing staff at Franciscan Alliance.

YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Assess the competency of field staff during educational sessions, and identify/report areas of weakness back to management staff.

  • Plan educational interventions based on collected data, and facilitate the development of educational activities based on the target audience learner needs.

  • Evaluate clinical education programs to ensure they are effective in maintaining and enhancing team members' clinical skills.

  • Maintain metrics and reporting process; ensure training documentation is properly recorded and easily accessible for compliance reporting purposes.

  • Make decisions for direct reports, and perform people management activities, such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews.


 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care - Required

  • Master's Degree Nursing/Patient Care - Preferred -OR-

  • Must be enrolled in an MSN program and complete within 18 months of hire - Required

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board - Required

  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
