Job Responsibilities:

What you can expect

The IT Business Analyst – Operations acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to improve manufacturing processes through technology. This role focuses on analyzing production workflows, identifying system enhancements, and supporting the implementation of digital solutions (e.g., ERP, MES) to increase efficiency, quality, and operational visibility.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, quality, and maintenance teams to understand process needs
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT solutions
  • Support implementation and optimization of systems such as ERP, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and SCM tools
  • Analyze current workflows (production planning, inventory, quality control) and identify improvement opportunities
  • Participate in system configuration, testing (UAT), and deployment activities
  • Ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and integration across systems
  • Work with IT teams and vendors to resolve system issues and implement enhancements
  • Create process documentation, user manuals, and training materials
  • Support change management and user adoption initiatives
  • Monitor KPIs and reporting tools to support operational decision-making

What you'll bring

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (production, inventory, supply chain)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., process mapping, requirements gathering)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities 

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with MES, WMS, or industrial automation systems
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (Power BI, SQL, Excel advanced)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid project environments
  • Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar)
