The Senior Analyst, Financial Systems – Planning, Reporting, and Consolidation is an individual contributor role within Global Finance. This role serves as a subject matter expert across end‑to‑end financial planning, reporting, and consolidation processes and the supporting systems landscape, partnering closely with Finance stakeholders and BI&T.

The Senior Analyst, Financial Systems – Planning, Reporting, and Consolidation is an individual contributor role within Global Finance. This role serves as a subject matter expert across end‑to‑end financial planning, reporting, and consolidation processes and the supporting systems landscape, partnering closely with Finance stakeholders and BI&T.
The position is based in the BMS Hyderabad location and operates as part of the global Finance delivery model.
Key Responsibilities and Major Duties
Financial Systems – Planning, Reporting, and Consolidation
- Act as subject matter expert for end‑to‑end processes and system landscape supporting global planning, reporting, and consolidation (SAP BW, SAP BCS, Hyperion Planning, Essbase).
- Identify areas for financial system and process enhancements and simplification; champion changes through the full SDLC lifecycle including design, analysis, testing, documentation, rollout, and stabilization.
- Analyze system architecture, data structures, and master data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze user support questions and recurring issues as drivers for continuous improvement.
- Liaise between business, Finance, and BI&T to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
- Identify and engage appropriate matrix team members, SMEs, and stakeholders to assess business process and system needs.
- Lead or participate in successful implementation of planning, reporting, and consolidation enhancements and manage related Finance communications.
- Serve as a key point of contact for assigned markets or processes for complex financial systems and data matters.
- Champion effective collaboration across global time zones and markets to improve service delivery and engagement.
- Provide governance for reporting and planning enhancements to drive standardization and adoption of best practices.
- Contribute to BW and Hyperion training strategies by designing and maintaining job aids, user guides, training materials, and report catalogs.
- Troubleshoot system and data issues using diagnostic and root‑cause analysis methodologies; partner with BI&T on resolution options.
- Perform limited task‑based system maintenance necessary to support global financial systems outside formal IT development.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

Qualifications and Core Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, or other relevant STEM field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant Finance, financial systems, or reporting experience in complex environments.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences, including senior management and executive stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to synthesize, manipulate, and transform complex data into meaningful insights aligned with business objectives.
- Ability to independently learn, experiment with systems, process flows, and data, and continuously deepen domain knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical teams by adapting communication style and approach.
- Solid foundational knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Ability to operate as both a specialist and a generalist depending on depth versus breadth of system and process needs.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness, prioritization, and follow‑through.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL/RDBMS, MS Access, R or statistical applications, or other programming tools.
- Understanding of system architecture concepts including applications, databases, interfaces, data flows, and reporting structures.
- Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and ability to manage competing priorities in a matrixed global environment.

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
