Purpose of the role

To provide quantitative and analytical expertise to support trading strategies, risk management, and decision-making within the investment banking domain, applying quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, and technology to optimise trading and investment opportunities. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and implementation of quantitative models and strategies to derive insight into market trends and optimize trading decisions, pricing, and risk management across various financial products and markets.
  • Working closely with sales teams to identify clients' needs and develop customised solutions.
  • In-depth research, data analysis, and statistical modelling to derive insights into market trends, pricing, and risk dynamics.
  • Provide front office infrastructure support though ownership and maintenance of analytical libraries.
  • Provision of expertise on quantitative methodologies, technological advancements, and industry best practices to drive innovation within the trading environment.

Join us a Senior Product Owner (VP) in Front Office Market Data and Vendor Enablement. In role you will role shape the long‑term Markets data strategy and act as a recognised product and data leader. You will drive cross‑functional initiatives across Front Office, Technology, CDAO, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Sourcing while making clear prioritisation and investment decisions with full accountability for outcomes. Further you’ll build the scalable foundations needed for future Markets data platforms and analytics products.

Your role owns the strategy, roadmap, and KPIs for market data products, translating Front Office needs into clear requirements and delivering scalable, well‑governed solutions. It manages the strategic vendor footprint, leading onboarding, renewals, negotiations, and spend optimisation across major providers.

As a senior partner to trading and research,  you will shape data capabilities that enhance decision‑making and resolve issues impacting revenue‑generating teams. You’ll ensure market data is governed, catalogued, and aligned with enterprise data and analytics platforms for consistent, cross‑market reuse. You will own the operating model and controls for vendor‑enabled products, ensuring compliance, managing data‑related risks, and driving simplification through standardisation and automation.

To be successful as a Senior Product Owner you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Markets market data, trading platforms, or analytics enablement
  • Proven product management or product ownership experience in a complex, regulated environment
  • Senior‑level engagement with Front Office stakeholders
  • Experience managing third‑party vendors and commercial relationships

Other skills of value include:

  • Experience introducing product concepts (roadmaps, KPIs, prioritisation, lifecycle ownership) into legacy data or platform domains
  • Strong data and technology literacy (e.g. data platforms, SQL/Python, entitlement models, usage analytics)
  • Exposure to analytics platforms, front‑office tooling, or in‑house data product
