The Opportunity
Join Roche Digital Technology and make an impact on global healthcare. In this role, you will architect and implement robust Directory Services solutions (primarily Microsoft Active Directory) while driving operational excellence through tier 2-3 support, performance optimization, and continuous innovation. Collaborating with specialists across multiple initiatives and time zones, you'll ensure the identity and access infrastructure that powers our mission to help patients live longer, better lives.
Responsibilities
Collaborate in technical teams to design end-to-end infrastructure solutions, produce comprehensive documentation, and interact with senior internal and external partners on significant technical matters
Evaluate promising solutions and technologies through Proofs of Concepts (PoCs) and feasibility studies to determine success criteria and drive innovation
Provide tier 2-3 operational support, manage and implement Directory Services Infrastructure on-premises for manufacturing environments, and support associated applications and complements
Proactively monitor systems for performance, availability, and capacity management to minimize escalations and ensure solution reliability
Promptly respond to customer requests, resolve incidents, and implement changes while maintaining high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction
Understand and implement relevant ITIL, GxP, and Project Management concepts including Request, Incident, Change, Problem, and Document Management, as well as Qualification and Validation
Actively pursue self-development, create actionable improvement plans, provide 24x7 on-call support with schedule flexibility, and occasional international travel as required
Who you are
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent professional experience with 4+ years of hands-on Active Directory administration and advanced troubleshooting
Robust experience working in a major global organization, preferably in a regulated industry, with proven interpersonal skills to interact effectively across multiple countries and cultures
Strong design and hands-on technical expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Services (LDAP), and desirable experience with Entra ID; proficiency in PowerShell scripting required
Commitment to operational excellence with willingness to cross-train, continuously evolve technical and soft skills, and learn additional technical expertise
Proactive, collaborative, and supportive approach with strong customer focus, highly responsive service delivery ethic, and adaptability to change in a large organization
Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills with strong spoken and written English proficiency
