Drive the Future of Industrial Simulation as a Simulation Design Engineer
Are you passionate about advanced process simulation, digital twins, and helping industries transform with cutting edge technology? Join us as a Simulation Design Engineer and step into a role where you design, model and innovate digital solutions that support operators, boost industrial performance and shape the factories of tomorrow.
You will work hands-on with simulation models, analytical tools and software functions that support primarily pulp, paper and energy but also other process industries. Your work directly contributes to smarter and more connected production environments.
Your responsibilities
You will create and refine process models for advanced simulations used in operator training, system testing and predictive support.
You will program analytical functions and contribute to digital twin development in our product development projects.
You will collaborate closely with teams across Valmet and engage with customers globally to ensure high value and accurate simulation solutions.
You will support the evolution of our simulation-based products used across pulp, paper, energy and other process industries.
You will occasionally travel to support project or customer needs .
Preferred Qualifications
You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably with a focus on modelling and simulation, control engineering or programming or you bring equivalent professional experience.
You bring experience or knowledge in Python or other programming language especially with model/analytics focus.
You have knowledge in Dymola or other modeling environments.
You have process knowledge in pulp, paper or energy which is considered meritorious.
You speak Swedish fluently and have strong written and spoken English skills.
