Job Description:

We’re looking for a Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) Manager to partner with senior and executive leaders to shape financial strategy and influence key business decisions across TJX Canada. This role offers broad exposure across enterprise initiatives, with ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and advisory support for executive‑sponsored programs. You’ll lead and develop a high‑performing team of Analysts while influencing decisions across multiple business groups. What You’ll Do:

  • Cultivates strong business partnerships by identifying and executing short and long-term business needs, prioritizing and communicating business risks and opportunities.

  • Presents analysis and business insights to Executive and Senior Leadership teams on a regular basis, communicating key trends and business impacts.

  • Advises the business during the organization’s strategic planning process and maintains an understanding of industry trends and cost drivers.

  • Manages the implementation and execution of current fiscal objectives for specific business programs and strategies; provides financial advertisement on portfolio of initiatives sponsored by Executive leadership.

  • Plans and manages ad hoc financial reports in areas of project control, capital budgeting, payroll, expense and business planning; acts as the subject matter expert (SME) across the entire Finance function on all non-standard reporting.

  • Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of existing business lines; plans and manages projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes and reporting across the Finance function.

  • Executes on the department’s talent strategy through leadership, coaching, and talent development to ensure a pipeline of functional talent that supports current and future needs of the Finance department.

  • Mentors a team of Analysts to elevate and build their forecasting, analysis, communication, and relationship building capabilities.


About You:

  • A post-secondary degree in related area/discipline (i.e. Accounting, Business, Finance).

  • A Canadian (or U.S. equivalent) CPA designation or MBA (Finance/Accounting) is considered an asset.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive Finance experience, including a minimum of four (4) years performing budget/forecast development, financial modeling, and analysis activities.

  • A minimum of one (1) year of people-leadership experience; proven accountability for the performance and development of others.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner with senior management and positively influence individuals to act in the best interest of the organization.

  • Excellent management skills including: organizational, facilitation, negotiation, conflict, and time management skills; able to prioritize multiple priorities and maintain the appropriate sense of urgency.

  • Strong consulting skills; proven ability to procure and analyze a range of quantitative and qualitative information for use in developing strategies, policies and solutions that meet departmental and organizational needs.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, actively listen, challenge constructively, and establish respect and rapport within professional networks.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization (ex: Power Bi, Tableau) applications.
