The Role at a Glance

The Student Technician I assists with maintaining training props, grounds, and facilities to support agency operations. This role applies basic technical skills related to painting, construction, groundskeeping, light mechanical duties, and other facility-related functions. The position plays a key role in supporting the agency’s mission and goals.

This position reports to the RELLIS Facilities Training Coordinator.

Required Qualifications of the Role

  • High school diploma or GED, and current enrollment in a degree granting program at an accredited college or university.

  • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications of the Role

  • Previous work experience, including internships.

  • At least one year of professional experience in maintenance, facilities, or groundskeeping.
