Essential Job Duties
BambooHR’s IT Help Desk Technicians are responsible for caring for all aspects of our office IT needs. As our ideal Help Desk Technician, you will be able to help our employees do their best work with the greatest attitude and care by troubleshooting technical issues that arise.
In this role, you will be a key driver of both individual employee success and our collective company culture by owning the technical execution of our high-visibility meetings and ensuring our conferencing infrastructure is world-class. You’ll work with a close team that is always helping each other improve.
You will:
- Help end users resolve technical workstation issues (both Windows and macOS).
- Own the technical execution of executive-led company updates and high-visibility meetings, including pre-event consultation and setup.
- Maintain and proactively monitor ~65 Zoom Rooms using Neat Bars, Pads, Centers, and dual-display configurations.
- Provision new IT equipment (laptops, monitors, and specialized A/V hardware).
- Manage Zoom meetings end-to-end, including recording distribution and live troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot network issues (VLANs, Routing, Switching) as they relate to workstations and A/V endpoints.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to document, improve, and scale our A/V systems.
- Automate job responsibilities—leveraging AI tools where applicable—for continued efficiency.
- Contribute to the ongoing documentation and runbooks of our systems and processes.
- Provide occasional off-hours or offsite support for special events with advance notice.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- 1+ years experience in a Help Desk, Tech Support, or A/V Support role.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience supporting Zoom Rooms or similar enterprise conferencing platforms.
- An ability to learn and communicate technical information clearly to all levels of the organization.
- Experience with computer hardware repair and maintenance.
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs and work primarily onsite in our Draper office.
What Will Make Us REALLY Love You
- Associate’s Degree in related fields.
- Proven experience providing "white-glove" support to leadership in high-pressure environments.
- Experience with specialized A/V hardware (Neat, Crestron, or similar).
- Experience utilizing ChatGPT, Gemini, Moveworks, and/or other AI tools to improve IT workflows.
- Experience with Okta, Jamf Pro, or Microsoft InTune.
- You have basic network experience (VLANs, Routing, Switching).
- You are self-motivated, an ambitious learner, and a proactive communicator.
