About the Team
The Marketplace & Dropship Team focuses on providing customers with a compelling Direct-to-Customer experience in home improvement by developing and maintaining a strong vendor/seller network and supplier partnerships within the Digital Commerce ecosystem. The team supports strategic initiatives to enhance Marketplace growth, optimize seller performance, and improve operational efficiency across the order lifecycle.
Job Summary:
The Marketplace & Dropship Analytics Analyst supports data-driven decision making across Lowe’s Marketplace and Dropship ecosystem. This role is responsible for analyzing operational and performance metrics related to third-party sellers, order lifecycle, cancellations, returns, transportation/freight costs, and inventory performance. The analyst will work closely with Marketplace operations, Supply Chain, Transportation, Product, and other business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, build scalable reporting solutions, and support strategic marketplace initiatives. The role requires strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, Power BI, dimensional data modeling (Star Schema), and cloud-based big data environments such as GCP BigQuery, along with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate in a dynamic and evolving business environment
Core Responsibilities:
Analyze operational and performance metrics related to Marketplace and Dropship programs, including seller performance, fulfillment metrics, cancellations, returns, and freight costs.
· Conduct root cause analyses to identify trends, operational inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities within Marketplace and Dropship operations.
· Query and analyze large datasets using SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) within GCP-based big data environments such as BigQuery.
· Develop scalable analytical workflows capable of handling large-scale operational and marketplace datasets.
· Work with enterprise data warehouse structures and understand dimensional data modeling concepts including Star Schema, fact tables, and dimension tables.
· Design and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards using DAX measures, calculated columns, and optimized semantic models.
· Utilize advanced Excel techniques including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and analytical functions to support reporting and exploratory analysis.
· Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor Marketplace KPIs, seller performance, and operational metrics.
· Collaborate with Marketplace operations, Supply Chain, Transportation, Product, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
· Communicate insights and recommendations through clear data storytelling and visualization.
· Operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, supporting evolving business priorities and Marketplace initiatives.
· Deliver both structured reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support ongoing strategic initiatives.
Years of Experience:
2 – 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis, preferably within retail, e-commerce, supply chain, or marketplace environments.
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field. · Relevant certifications in data analytics, cloud platforms (GCP), or business intelligence tools are a plus.
