We are looking for a motivated and highly skilled Investment Management Warehouse [IMW] Data Modelling Specialist to join our development team.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, designing, and implementing changes to our IMW data model, a core component of our SimCorp Data Warehouse solution. With over 130 global clients, and recent integration with Snowflake, this is an exciting opportunity to work with a flexible, data platform supporting investment management workflows.

Our SimCorp platform streamlines the entire investment value chain, enabling informed decision-making while improving operational efficiency. Widely used by asset managers and financial institutions, SimCorp provides a range of services, including portfolio management, risk management, performance measurement, and reporting.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Maintain IMW Data Model: Ensure the Investment Management Warehouse model remains up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with business and industry standards.

  • Support Existing Clients: Provide guidance and support to clients using the SimCorp Data Warehouse, and drive Business Process as a Service (BPaaS) initiatives.

  • Customize and Merge Solutions: Work with consultants to merge non-standard client customizations into the standard IMW model and assist in best practices for IMW extensions.

  • Data Marts and Analytics Integration: Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Teams to extend the IMW model with business data marts, supporting analytics platforms like Investment Analytics Platform (IAP) and ESG.

  • Snowflake Integration: Gain hands-on experience with Snowflake, supporting clients in migrating from Oracle to Snowflake, and optimizing data workflows within the cloud environment.

  • Drive Data Model Enhancements: Proactively identify and implement data model changes to support new business requirements, ensuring scalability and adaptability.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong Understanding of Data Domains: Preferably experience with SimCorp flows and data domains within the Simcorp One system.

  • Data Modelling Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data modelling and database design, preferably with the Ralph Kimball methodology.

  • Data Warehousing Best Practices: Familiarity with data warehousing design, integration patterns, and implementation strategies.

  • Platform Experience: Strong working knowledge of Oracle and Snowflake, with additional experience in Python or similar development languages preferable.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

BENEFITS

Competitive salary, bonus scheme, and pension are essential for any work agreement. However, in SimCorp, we believe we can offer more. Therefore, in addition to the traditional benefit scheme, we provide an excellent work & life balance: flexible work hours, a hybrid workplace model. On top of that, we have IP sprints where you have 3 weeks per quarter you can spend on mastering your skills as well as contributing to the company development. There is never just only one route - we practice an individual approach to professional development to support the direction you want to take.
