Your Role
At Gensler, we design for people. As a Retail and Consumer Experience Project Manager, you will help bring world-class retail environments to life for global clients by leading projects that integrate design excellence, technical expertise, and strategic thinking.
You will collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team across regions and time zones, guiding projects from concept through completion. In this role, you will serve as a trusted client partner, a team leader, and a steward of Gensler’s commitment to quality, innovation, and impact.
What You Will Do
- Lead the delivery of mid-size to large retail projects across all phases of design and construction
- Partner closely with clients to understand goals, manage expectations, and deliver successful outcomes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants across multiple geographic regions
- Support business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and new client pursuits
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans
- Prepare, review, and coordinate contracts and consultant agreements
- Oversee project financial performance, ensuring alignment between project accounting and invoicing
- Lead, mentor, and support project teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth
- Coordinate and review project documentation in preparation for key milestones and deliverables
Your Qualifications
- At least 10 years of project management experience in an Architecture or Interior Design practice
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or Interior Design
- Architectural license and/or NCIDQ certification (completed or in progress)
- Experience working across all phases of architectural and interior design projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Solid understanding of the design and construction process
- Working knowledge of building codes and local jurisdictional requirements
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices; LEED project experience a plus
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit; Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus

**The base salary range will be estimated between $110,000 - $134,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
*Notice: At Gensler a Project Manager will have the job title of Design Manager and operate in this capacity for alignment with internal programs, doing business with clients and compliance with industry and government regulations.
