About the role
The Role
The Front Office Market Specialist is a presales consultant who connects client needs with Nasdaq’s solutions. The role involves understanding business and technical requirements, designing tailored solutions, and demonstrating value through presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept.
Working with Calypso, you will support the full sales and presales cycle by qualifying opportunities, responding to client questionnaires, leading demonstrations and workshops, and engaging with clients before contract signature. The role requires both functional and technical expertise.
You will also contribute to presales development and go-to-market strategy by defining differentiators and unique selling points. In close partnership with Sales, Product Management, Product Strategy, and implementation teams, the role brings market feedback into product planning, supports the development of new offerings and business cases, and ensures an effective handover when a sale is completed. The specialist may also support implementation scoping and identify opportunities for additional solutions or services where appropriate.
The role is based in Paris, and covers clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand and clarify functional and technical requirements.
- Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and client workshops.
- Lead proof-of-concept delivery, including solution configuration and data integration.
- Complete RFI and RFP questionnaires and support the development of high-quality proposals.
- Contribute technical expertise and solution positioning to bid and sales strategies.
- Partner with Product Management and Product Strategy to share market insights, identify product gaps, and influence the roadmap.
- Support go-to-market initiatives that strengthen product positioning and market awareness.
- Provide implementation teams with a thorough handover of client requirements, decisions, and knowledge gathered during the sales process.
- Support implementation scoping and identify appropriate opportunities for additional products or services.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, presentation, and client-engagement skills.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into effective solutions.
- Experience delivering product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and client workshops.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in front-office solutions, presales, consulting, or implementation.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments and capital markets.
- Understanding of sell-side activities, including investment banking, trading, risk management, and position management.
- Experience with Calypso, Murex, Kondor, Quantum, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
